Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Y-Haven provides treatment for adults experiencing substance use disorder, including individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions.

Treatment services include:

  • Residential Treatment: A structured treatment environment where residents can focus on recovery while receiving counseling and support.
  • Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP): A structured level of care that includes regular treatment sessions and recovery activities.
  • Outpatient Treatment: Ongoing treatment and counseling designed to support continued recovery.

Treatment may include individual counseling, group sessions, and other recovery-focused activities based on individual needs.

Y-Haven also supports individuals receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT) through approved health care partners.

Transitional Housing & Residential Support

A Stable Place to Focus on Recovery

Having a safe, supportive place to live can make an important difference during recovery.

Y-Haven provides transitional housing for adults participating in treatment, offering a structured residential environment where individuals can focus on their health and work toward greater independence.

Residents live in furnished accommodations with access to shared living facilities. Staff are available around the clock to provide support and maintain a safe environment.

As residents progress through treatment, Y-Haven helps them prepare for the transition to permanent housing.

Mental Health Counseling & Support

Supporting Mental Health Alongside Recovery

Substance use and mental health challenges often occur together. Addressing both can be an important part of building lasting stability.

Y-Haven provides mental health counseling and treatment groups to help residents address emotional and behavioral health needs alongside substance use recovery.

Services support individuals experiencing co-occurring conditions and are incorporated into the broader treatment and recovery process.

Case Management & Health Care Coordination

Helping Residents Navigate Life's Challenges

Recovery often involves addressing practical needs beyond treatment.

Y-Haven's case management services help residents navigate challenges related to health care, insurance, benefits, employment, and housing.

Support may include:

  • Assistance accessing health insurance and public benefits.
  • Connections to medical care and community health partners.
  • Crisis intervention and personal support.
  • Coordination of recovery-related services.
  • Help identifying resources needed for greater stability.

Through partnerships with health care providers, residents may also access medical services and medication-assisted treatment.

Employment, Education & Independent Living

Building Skills for Life Beyond Treatment

An important part of recovery is preparing for the next chapter.

Y-Haven helps residents connect with employment opportunities, educational resources, and job training programs that can support financial stability and independent living.

Services may include employment referrals, workforce training connections, and assistance preparing for permanent housing.

The goal is to help residents develop the resources, confidence, and practical skills needed to move forward.

Wellness & Community Connections

Recovery Involves the Whole Person

In addition to clinical treatment, Y-Haven offers opportunities for residents to participate in activities that support physical, emotional, and social well-being.

These may include exercise, yoga, meditation, dance, crafts, and other group activities.

Community partnerships also create opportunities for connection, creativity, and personal growth.

One example is Steps & Stages, Y-Haven's longstanding collaboration with Cleveland Public Theatre, which gives residents and former residents opportunities to share their experiences through theater.
