YMCA Science Camp
Science Camp helps kids expand their horizons and worldly knowledge through an interactive, engaging curriculum that varies week to week.
Camps at the Y share one thing: they’re about discovery. YMCA Science Campers will make friends, learn, and grow through activities that cover life on earth all the way to outer space. Certain weeks include field trips designed to supplement the curriculum. Whether you choose one week or all summer, YMCA Science Camp fits your schedule and provides fun, enriching activities for your child!
About our Science Camp Program
Science Camp helps kids expand their horizons and worldly knowledge through an interactive, engaging curriculum that varies week to week. Our wide variety of topics range from life on earth all the way to outer space.
- For children ages *5–12 years
- 1:18 child to instructor ratio
- Nutritious snacks provided
- Dedicated, well-trained camp counselors
- Financial assistance is available for those who qualify
*Must have completed kindergarten.
Our Curriculum
Our school age arts camp program offers fun weekly themes that align with Ohio’s Common Core K–12 state standards.
The curriculum includes activities in the following areas:
- Arts & humanities
- Character development
- Large motor & fitness
- Literacy
- Science and Math
- STEM
- Nutrition
- Service-Learning Projects
Scholarships
The YMCA of Greater Cleveland offers needs-based scholarships to help make Summer Day Camp accessible for families. Scholarship awards may cover up to 95% of camp fees for those who qualify and are determined using several factors, including annual household income, the number of adults in the home, and the number of dependents. Families interested in receiving support can learn more and apply through our Financial Assistance program.
Camp Rates
7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Weekly Rates:
Member: $209
Non-Member: $242
There is a $5 registration fee per child. Each week of camp requires a $25 deposit, which is applied towards tuition. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions, below, for more information.
