We are excited to share an upcoming opportunity designed to help teens build confidence, skills and a strong foundation for their future. This summer, we will launch a new partnership with Y.O.U., focused on empowering young people through hands-on learning, leadership development and real-world experiences.
Hosted at the Warrensville Heights Family YMCA, this program is open to youth ages 14–18 and is designed to prepare participants for success in school, work and life. Teens will gain practical, career-readiness skills while also engaging in fun, meaningful activities that support overall well-being.
What participants will learn
- Daily living skills
- Executive functioning skills
- Professional and interpersonal (soft) skills
- Community development skills
What participants will experience
- Daily physical fitness
- Weekly swimming
- Weekly fun excursions
- Leadership skill-building
- Whole-group activities
- Self-care training
- Mindfulness journaling
Beyond skill development, this program offers something even more powerful: a supportive environment where teens can grow, connect and discover their potential. Participants will also be compensated for their involvement, reinforcing the value of their time, effort and commitment.
If you know a young person who would benefit from—and embrace—this opportunity, we encourage you to share the application link below.
Together, we are investing in the next generation of leaders and helping young people thrive in their academic, career and personal journeys. For additional information, please contact Michael Thompson at mthompson@clevelandymca.org or 216-240-0332.
