Available Positions
Assistant Teacher
Assistant Teachers help create a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and have fun.
In this role, you’ll:
- Supervise and engage children throughout the program.
- Support daily activities and YMCA curriculum.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and coworkers.
- Help create developmentally appropriate activities.
- Support classroom safety, cleanliness and organization.
- Encourage positive behavior and peer-to-peer connections.
What you need: A high school diploma or GED and a passion for working with children. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Previous childcare experience is preferred.
Lead Teacher
Lead Teachers take an active role in creating and managing a high-quality childcare experience for children and families.
In this role, you’ll:
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and lesson plans.
- Supervise children while maintaining YMCA and state licensing requirements.
- Build strong relationships with children and their families.
- Maintain program records and required documentation.
- Support a safe, clean and welcoming program environment.
- Communicate with families, staff and supervisors.
- Help ensure program quality and licensing requirements are met.
What you need: A high school diploma, at least two years of experience working in a licensed childcare program, and the ability to meet required CPR, First Aid and safety training requirements.
