Let’s face it, if change were easy, we’d all do it. You’ve spent years developing habits that you can’t expect to change overnight. The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program gives you the skills you need and the support you deserve to make lasting healthy lifestyle changes.

The YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program is a year-long lifestyle change program. It is designed to help you lose weight and become more active - by discovering what works specifically for you.  A certified Lifestyle Coach will work with you and a very small group of others to achieve your goals.

We have a proven record of success - our program is even recognized by the Centers for Disease Control for its effectiveness.

Participants must be at least 18 years old, at least a bit overweight, and NOT already diabetic.

The program fee is determined by a sliding scale. Some insurance plans will cover the cost. No one is turned away due to the inability to pay.
