The YMCA summer day camp is a home away from home where kids laugh, learn, explore and grow, all while creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime!
In July, we created one of those lifetime memories when we took kids from all our camps to the Lake Eric Crushers baseball game at their home stadium, which is conveniently located next door to our French Creek Family YMCA branch in Avon. The kids had an absolute blast! And everyone at the game was impressed with how well-behaved and well-mannered the YMCA camp kids were throughout the game.
From the moment our CEO Tim Hilk threw in the first pitch to the fun the kids had splashing in the water after the game when the Crushers brought out the water slides and other fun activities.
The kids will long remember their day at the baseball game! They enjoyed spending time with their friends from their camp and meeting kids from camps across the region.
