COVID-19 POLICY INFORMATION
MASK MANDATE
The YMCA of Greater Cleveland’s highest priorities are the safety and well-being of our members. We thank the members who have visited our branches and followed our policy of wearing face coverings at all times in our branches. We made the decision to always require face coverings in our facilities due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in our area. Since the holidays have passed, the number of COVID cases has declined. In addition, research continues to show that facilities operating like our Ys are doing a great job of controlling the spread of this disease. For this reason, we have made the decision to not require face coverings while exercising beginning January 24. This means face coverings must still be worn at all times within our branches with the exception of when actively exercising or participating in a sporting event. Face coverings must be worn while moving from one piece of equipment to another in an exercise area, such as on the fitness floor or in weight rooms. Face coverings must also be worn by participants in sports leagues when not actively competing. We respectively ask everyone to comply for the good of all. This applies to all of our branches. Masks must comply with our policies related to attire as specified on page 6 of the Member Handbook. Members who do not comply will be asked to leave and could have their membership revoked. |
