SMART Start Health Assessments As you begin your wellness journey with the YMCA, it is our goal to understand your personal needs so you can meet you health and fitness goals. Our SMART Start Health Assessment is a free 30-60 minute session with one of our wellness experts who will discuss the best path for you. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about group exercise classes, equipment and recommendations for using the wellness floor, an introduction into personal training and so much more. Session options:Motivate - 1 session per week
Empower - 2 sessions per week Determined - 3 sessions per week Succeed - 4 sessions per week About Y Personal TrainersAt the Y, Personal Trainers have at least one thing in common—they have and maintain certification through at least one national health and fitness organization. In addition to national certifications, many trainers have special areas of expertise—like Barre, Kettlebells and Pilates Reformer—that require additional (and often intensive) training.
