HOW TO SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT:

​
  1. Go to the App Store or Google Play and search for 'Greater Cleveland YMCA'
  2. Click the download or install button (it's free!) and then open the app.
  3. The app will prompt you to allow location access. Click 'allow' to get notified with important alerts, like branch closures or special offers for your home branch.
  4. The app will prompt you to allow notifications. Click 'allow' to get facility updates, offers, emergency alerts, etc.
  5. Click 'Login/Sign Up’
  6. Click 'Create Account', allow the app to access your location, and pick your home branch. Then enter the necessary info (name, email and a password) and check the 'terms of use' box, then click submit.
  7. The app will take you on a short tour of its features. Click 'Go to App' in the top right corner when you're done.
  8. You did it! Explore all the app has to offer (check out some of its best features below).

Find a Class
​Sort by date, type or even instructor and find the perfect class! You can add classes to your calendar with the click of a button.
​Challenges
TAKE ON A CHALLENGE
Need some extra motivation to exercise? Join a challenge, compete with other Y members and win fun prizes!
 
Compete in Y challenges powered by your fitness activity.
  • Using the YMCA mobile app: Go to the Challenges tab, Select a challenge, Click “join now”
  • Track all your workouts with: Mobile app xCapture, 3rd-party tracking apps
  • Keep an eye on the leaderboard: Monitor your progress, earn bragging rights and win prizes!
​Workouts
​SEE WORKOUT HISTORY
Look back on all of your exercise accomplishments and review stats for each workout you recorded!
Record a Workout ​
​RECORD A WORKOUT
You can record manually, or use xCapture to take a picture of your machine's screen and the info will be entered automatically!
  • Workout on your choice of cardio equipment
  • Click on “Record a Workout” on your branch’s mobile app screen
  • Click “xCapture”
  • Select a workout to capture (treadmill, elliptical, bike or stepper)
  • Take a picture of the control panel at the end of your workout (i.e. distance, time, calories)
  • Your results will be recorded automatically!
  • View your results on the app on the “My Workouts” tab
  • Workouts recorded by xCapture will count towards completing your personal goals and YMCA challenges
Personal Training
​Having trouble achieving your fitness goals? Request a FREE fitness assessment or meet with a personal trainer. 
Share the Y
​Workouts always go better together at the Y. Refer a friend, using the "Share the Y" tile and your friend will receive a guest pass to check out any of our branches!
My Profile
​Make sure you set up your profile! By entering your gender, height and weight, the app will be able to estimate how many calories you burned during each workout! 
​Activity Feed
​Don’t let your hard work go un-noticed! View others activity and progress under the ‘community’ tab or see your own under "my feed".
Connected Apps ​
​CONNECT YOUR DEVICE
Do you have a wearable device or a favorite workout app? Connect them to the Y app and workouts are entered automatically!
  • Now you can track all of your fitness activity in one place!
  • Link to your favorite apps through your YMCA mobile app
  • We’ve got you covered, whether you are biking outside or running on a treadmill…all of your activity will be recorded in one place. 
Social Media
​Want the latest news and updates from your branch? Access your branch’s Facebook page right on the app!
Goal Center
​Set a goal based on time, distance, calories or number of workouts and work your way to success as the app tracks your progress!

Frequently Asked Questions

Workout Related Questions
Q: How do I log a workout?
You can enter a workout manually by selecting the “Record a Workout” tile and “Manual Workout”. This will allow you to pick the type of workout and track the duration, distance, and calories burned.
You can also use “xCapture”. This allows you to take a picture of the display on cardio equipment and it will log the workout for you. You can also use a number of third party apps and trackers such as FitBit and MyFitnessPal. The full list of these can be found in the "Connected Apps" tile.

Q: I don’t work out on cardio equipment but want to track my workouts. How do I do that?
A: No problem! Just use the “Manual” entry feature under “Record a Workout” and enter in your workouts by day. You can also link 3rd party tracking apps and devices to your account under the “Connected Apps” tab to automatically track workouts.

Q: What if I don’t want my workouts highlighted on the social feed?
A: Please go to the “Side Menu” and under “Privacy” you can control your settings.
 
3rd Party Apps + Devices and Account Linking Questions
Q: I don’t see my favorite 3rd party apps and devices, are you adding more?
A: We are continuously adding more. Please let us know your favorite so we can add it to the list feedback@netpulse.com.

Q: How do I link 3rd party apps?
A: To link your 3rd Party Applications please:
 
Create a 3rd party account (if you don’t already have one)
Sign-in to your account on the App and go to “Connected Apps” and follow the prompts
Click on the accounts you wish to link and authorize info sharing
Please note, if you are using a 3rd party app/device to record your workouts there may be a slight delay from when the app/devices syncs to when the workout appears in the app. Still having problems? Email support@netpulse.com for assistance.
 
Challenge Questions
Q: How long does a challenge last?
A: Please visit the challenge page on the App to view the challenge details or you can visit the front desk at your local Y.

Q: My workouts are missing from the challenge.
A: Please be sure your snap a photo of the cardio machine with Xcapture with the post workout stats and/or confirm your 3rd party devices are synced. Please visit the “Challenge” tab on the App for full challenge details as rules can differ per challenge. Please note, if you are using a 3rd party app/device to record your workouts there may be a slight delay from when the app/devices syncs to when the workout appears on the leaderboard.

Q: How do I leave a challenge?
A: Please sign into the App and go to the “Challenge” tab and click on the challenge you have joined. From there, you can click on "Leave" in the upper right corner. This will remove you from the club challenge.
 
General Questions
Q: I have some ideas for new features. How do I pass that along?
A: Please email the Netpulse team at feedback@netpulse.com. We love receiving feedback and new ideas, and will respond back to all inquiries.
 
Q: I’m moving and changing Ys within Greater Cleveland. Will I lose all my fitness activity?
A: No, you won’t lose your fitness activity. Keep tracking those workouts! Be sure to change your home Y branch in the “Locations” tab under the top left icon to see your Y’s group fitness schedule.
