Geauga County Y fitness instructor and Race volunteer Judy Rogers is in charge of organizing the Race. “When you finish the five-mile run at the grandstand an the Great Geauga County Fair, you’ll know you’ve accomplished something,” says Judy.
Paid registration includes free admission to the fair with wristband. Proceeds benefit the Geauga Family YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, which raises money for kids, families, seniors and individuals facing financial hardship.
Scholarships from the Strong Kids Campaign means that "kids can learn to swim, go to summer camp and learn sportsmanship skills,” Judy says. “We could use a little more community support in helping others in our own community.”
Businesses can contact Judy to get their names printed on the back of next year’s race shirts.
