Greater Cleveland Y launches major capital campaign
(Feb. 20, 2011) The Y of Greater Cleveland has
begun a major capital campaign to raise
$15 Million over the next three years. A
feasibility study was recently concluded
by the independent firm Jeffrey Byrne & Associates.
“The (top) priorities of the campaign are
having a new Downtown full membership
facility, and making improvements to the
West Park-Fairview Family YMCA which is
located in the city of Cleveland, and being
able to fund $2 million in urban initiatives
programming that will help us continue
our mission,” said Vice President of
Financial Development Toni Kayumi.
“The
YMCA of Greater Cleveland is making an
investment in the city of Cleveland to
meet the needs of those we serve. We
have a 157-year tradition of service to
the Greater Cleveland community.”
A Capital Campaign Steering Committee
is in the process of being formed for the
campaign, which also includes bringing
new branches to the communities of North Royalton and Warrensville Heights during 2012.
