Cavaliers clinics planned for Southeast and Avon Y's

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the National Basketball Academy will be offering clinics for kids that teach the fundamentals of the game of basketball in a fun and positive atmosphere.

Mini-Dribblers 6-wk clinic Jan. 29-Feb. 7

Not only will players learn the fundamentals of the game, they will also learn to communicate with other teammates and coaches while learning sportsmanship and responsibility.

The fundamentals we will stress are shooting mechanics, proper footwork, ball handling, passing skills, offensive moves, moving without the ball, and defensive principles.

Clinic includes:

  • A ticket to a future Cleveland Cavaliers game!

Moondog Dribblers is an 8-week instructional program for kids in grades K – 3 designed to introduce and teach the FUNdamentals of basketball in a unique, exciting, and educational way.

The Moondog Mini Dribblers will perform before Cavaliers game this fall. Game date will be March 13, 2011.

Clinic includes:

  • Six fun, motivational, and educational practice sessions
  • A ticket for the Cavs game
