In case you missed our June and July meeting…
Our June Collab meeting Eric Henz from the Youth Resource Center came to speak about their program. The ultimate goal of the YRC is prevention, specifically, to effectively address the needs of youth who are beginning to exhibit problem behaviors before those behaviors result in social service system involvement(i.e., school, suspension or dropout, involvelemnt with the juvenile justice system). The key to addressing these needs is thru the family system and improving modes of family interaction, greater support will be available to the youth within the most important support systems they have....their families. Open during non-traditional hours, families can receive information about services, professional needs assessments, linkage to outside services and agencies. Families and youth can walk-in or call. The YRC is located at the Cleveland Christian Home at 5605 Detriot Rd. , Cleveland, Ohio 44102. Phone is 216-631-1997.

Our Foster Cluster Support Group participated in a Kids Night In at the Euclid YMCA on July 18th. Our local foster children spent the evening at the YMCA enjoying swimming, arts and crafts, dinner and a movie. Our hard working Foster Parents met for dinner "on us" at the BeachClub Bistro. Thanks to
Adopt Us Kids for allowing us to receive grant dollars to make this program happen.
