Euclid Collab Support Groups

Tapestry Strong Families Support Group Holiday event will be held on Thursday December 17th at the Golden Corral in Macedonia. Please note there is NO monthly meeting this month. Contact AnitaThompson at 731-7454 for more info.

 

Euclid Foster Parent Cluster Meeting meets the 4th Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8pm at the Euclid YMCA. Please contact Courtney Nicolai at 731-7454 for more info.

The Holiday brunch will be held on Saturday December 12th from 10am-noon.

**This group is also open to Kinship and Adoptive families as well. Potluck dinner and child care is available.

Joanne Tanski from Fred's Club came to speak about their tutoring programs.

All programs run October thru April.

FRED'S CLUB for 4th-6th graders

Mondays 6-7:30pm at The Master's Church located at 771 E. 260th

FRED'S CLUB JUNIOR for 1-3rd graders

Wednesdays 6-7:30pm at the Southwest Police Mini Station located at 20001 Euclid Ave or Thursdays 6-7:30pm at The Master's Church.

FRED'S CLUB is also looking for volunteer tutors. If you are interested please contact Joanne at 216-261-4055.

Ellie Sullivan from Employment and Family Services spoke about the up coming tax season. Electronic TAX Preparation is coming to Euclid....and it's free. Cuyahoga County is seeking individuals interested in learning to prepare income tax returns at Euclid's new site in the lobby of City Hall. Training will be provided beginning in December, 2009. Actual preparation of tax returns will begin in early February, 2010. Call 216-987-6620 to schedule training of for information.

Jackie King from the US Census Bureau updates us on new 2010 Census info. The Census is NOW hiring. The US Census Bureau is opening a new office in our area and is in need of staff. IRON TEENS-IRON KIDS Fitness Class. Register now, classes start December 14th. IRON TEENS(ages 13-18) and IRON KIDS (ages 8-12) introduces participants to a new fitness component, including strength, flexibility, endurance and agility.

ZUMBA classes have started and run through December. Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program.

Adult Survivors of Child Abuse Group at Bellflower Center

New 12 week group starting January 13, 2010

Wedensdays 5:45pm to 7:15pm.

Euclid Domestic Violence Support Group
Tuesdays at 6pm. For the Euclid location, contact Mae Bennett at 289-2700 x3668. This group provides opportunities for women who experience domestic violence to connect with other women facing similar challenges and triumphs learning new coping skills or expanding current coping skills and gaining a knowledge of the cycle of abuse.

Avril Sargeant will be leaving our Euclid Collaborative Family on December 31st, 2009. Avril has been a tremendous asset to the Collab and we wish her well in her future endeavors.
