At the West Park YMCA, we offer a Youth Sports League every session.

For Thursday 5/10
3-4 year old t-ball league will meet at 6pm at the West Shore YMCA fields.
5-7 year old coach pitch league will meet at 7pm at the West Shore YMCA fields.
Tuesdays Nights starting 5/15
3-4 year old t-ball league will meet at 6pm at the West Shore YMCA fields.
5-7 year old coach pitch league will meet at 7pm at the West Shore YMCA fields.
At any point this season, If the Tuesday game is rained out, we will be moving the games to Thursday Nights
Challenger Soccer Camp - Spring
The West Park Family YMCA has partnered with Challenger Sports to bring a high quality, youth development soccer camp for spring of 2012.
The
8 week program will run from April 18th to June 6th on Wednesday evenings providing players with a structured and continual training program that will complement the regular spring season with the main focus on the development of your child through technical practices, with main emphasis on the fundamentals of the game, including; PASSING, CONTROL, SHOOTING and DRIBBLING. Each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the US exclusively to work on this camp, this year Challenger’s coach staff will coach over 120,000 players between the ages of 3 and 18.
This unique program will be open to players ages 5 through 12 on a first come basis…but sign up soon as sessions will be filled up!!!
Ages 5 to 8 5:00 – 6:30pm
Ages 9 to 12 6:30 – 8:00pm

YMCA Youth Super Sports Classes
The YMCA Youth Super Sports classes feature a “games approach” to learning and provide an array of innovative resources designed to not only teach sports skills more effectively but also to teach young people to become better adults. The curriculum includes sports tactics, sports skills, rules and traditions of the sport, fitness and safety concepts and character development.
The program is divided into two age groups:
- YMCA Rookies, an instructional program for 4-7 year-olds
- YMCA Winners, a values-based competitive program for 8-14 year-olds.
The two programs feature the following qualities:
- More emphasis on teaching skills than on winning
- Use of planned curricula to learn skills in developmentally appropriate sequences
- The “games approach” to learning sports a more enjoyable, effective approach

Tot Classes
(3-5 years old)
This is an energetic class for even the most fidgety toddler! It is designed to work on basic skill development so that your preschooler becomes more confident in their sporting abilities while building positive self-esteem. Pre-schoolers are involved in non-competitive team activities and learn intellectual and social skills such as listening and following directions. Some of the activities your pre-schooler could enjoy are: Tumbling,
Sports of All Sorts,
Basketball,
T-Ball,
Gym Games,
Kickball, and
Soccer.
