Southeast Branch Teen Programs
Teen Court
Interested in the legal process? Teen Court is where teens are in charge!
Teens serve as the judges, attorneys, and bailiffs, and decide on the sanction for teens that have had trouble with the law.
Participants learn about the legal process firsthand as they hear real cases involving first-time non-violent juvenile offenders.
They also take time to give back through service learning projects. Become a Teen Court Volunteer today and get a head start on a career!
Location: Bedford Heights City Hall, Wednesday Evening, 6 pm - 8 pm

Teen Leaders Club
Leaders Club is one of the YMCA’s most intensive and comprehensive teen programs. Young people meet on a weekly basis in small groups, working closely with their peers and a counselor on skill- and character-building activities, as well as on planning and organizing club projects. The Leaders Club program provides a safe haven for young people to become confident and competent adults with a sense of belonging in their community.
Program Goals:
- To promote and enhance the personal growth and social skills of young people in order to develop leaders who will be a positive force in their communities.
- To provide opportunities through which young people can develop their leadership skills, e.g., community projects, Leader’s School, and so on
- To develop commitment to volunteerism and service through active involvement in community-service projects
- To provide experiential opportunities in preparation for post-high school life, e.g., business work-site visits, job shadowing, college preparation
- To continue the process of developing spirit, mind, and body through activities that meet the developmental needs of participants, e.g., goal-setting, developing healthy relationship, and incorporating fitness into their busy lives
