What Is Sports Camp?
YMCA Sports Camp focuses on improving sport skills through teamwork and friendly competition. There will be a variety of sports to choose from with each session lasting one week.
Sports campers will be given the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, and play games. Activities take place at the Southeast Family YMCA.

$25 deposit per week registered
Members $85/week

Licensed before and after care is available for an extra $25 per week
Who is Sports Camp for?
YMCA Sports Camp is for kids ages 5-12 and focuses on improving sports skills through teamwork and friendly competition.
What is done in each camp?
Each camp will have the following: pool time, snack, skills sessions, games, and free time.

Camp Curriculums
Baseball Camp
Campers will learn skills which help improve fielding and hitting. Morning sessions will focus on fielding drills and afternoon sessions will focus on hitting and games.
Basketball Camp
Campers learn skills which help improve shooting, passing, and dribbling. Individual skill sessions will be held in the morning and team games will be played in the afternoon.
Flag Football Camp
Flag Football Camp will focus on developing skills needed in football. Participants will learn to pass, receive, run effective routes, defend, and understand play calls. Games will take place throughout the camp.
Fun Camp
Fun Games Camp will focus on non-traditional sports and other activities. Games will include Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee, Arts and Crafts, etc: This week will focus on different summer time activities to have fun.
Summer Games/Track
Summer Games/Track Camp will focus on developing skills needed to participate in track and field events. Participants will learn to work on agility, speed, quickness, and overall fitness. Week will culminate with a Y mini-olympics.
Volleyball Camp
Participants will develop skills specific to volleyball. Morning sessions will focus on individual skills of bumping, setting, and spiking. Afternoon sessions will focus on strategy and team games.
