SWIM LESSON CATEGORIES
Infant (6 mos.- 3 yrs. with parent)
Water orientation class that provides activities that prepare a child to move well, improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and self-confidence in the water.
Preschool (Ages 3-6 yrs.)
This program safely introduces younger children to the water. Each level builds upon the preceding skill level to introduce the basic movements of swimming.
- Shrimp: 3 mos - 2 yrs
- Pike: 2 yrs- 4 yrs
- Pike 1: Beginner I
- Pike 2: Beginner II
- Eel 1: Intermediate I
- Eel 2: Intermediate II
- Ray1: Advanced Beginner I
- Ray 2: Advanced Beginner II
- Starfish: Advanced Beginner II
School Age (6-12 yrs.)
This program comprises five main components: personal growth, personal safety, stroke development, water sports and games, and rescue. Each skill level builds upon the preceding skill level covering all of the fundamentals.

- Polliwog 2: Introductory Level II
- Guppy 1: Beginning Skill I
- Guppy 2: Beginning Skill Level II
- Minnow 1: Intermediate Skill Level I
- Minnow 2: Intermediate Skill Level II

Private Lessons
If group lessons don't work for you, we have one-on-one private lessons and semi-private lessons for 2 students. The lessons are 30 minutes in length. Please fill out and submit the private lesson registration form when paying for your class. Click here for Private Lesson Registration From.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD CLASS
Become certified in Lifesaving, First Aid, CPR, and AED. Members/Program Members/Community Members $220
Prerequisites:
- Swim 300 yards continuously, using these strokes in the following order:
- 100 yards of front crawl using rhythmic breathing and a stabilizing propellant kick.
- 100 yards of breaststroke using a pull, breathe, kick and glide sequence.
- 100 yards of either the front crawl or breast stroke. May be a combination.
- Retrieve a 10 pound brick from the bottom of the pool and return to side in 1:30.
- Must be 15 years of age on or before the final scheduled session of this course.

Southeast YMCA Stingrays Swim Team
Ages 5-18 yrs. - coed

The Southeast Swim Team is for anyone 5-18 years of age (guppy level and above) who likes to swim and wants to have fun participating in a team sport. Practices are Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
