Who is Sports Camp for?
YMCA Sports Camp is for kids ages 6-12 and focuses on improving sports skills through teamwork and friendly competition.
There are a variety of sports to choose from with each session lasting one week. We offer two camps during the day: our traditional Sports camp which focuses on a single sport each week as well as our Fun Camps which focus on non-traditional sports.
Sports campers are given the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, and play games.
Activities take place at the Ridgewood Family YMCA. All Camps will include a Weekly field trip and swimming.
What is done in each camp?
Each camp has pool time, lunch, snack, skills sessions, games, and weekly field trips.
Camp Curriculums
All Sports Camp
All Sports Camp features a variety of sports, with a differnt sport featured each day. Sports include Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Baseball, and Volleyball. Games and scrimmages take place throughout the camp.
Basketball Camp
Campers learn skills which help improve shooting, passing, and dribbling. Individual skill sessions are held in the morning and team games will be played in the afternoon.
Baseball Camp
Campers learn skills which help improve fielding and hitting. Morning sessions focus on fielding drills and afternoon sessions will focus on hitting and games.
Fun Camp
Campers focus on non-traditional sports and other activities. Games include Frisbee, Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Noodle Hockey, Arts & Crafts, Youth Aerobics and more.
Soccer Camp
Soccer camp focuses on developing skills to improve offensive and defensive performance. Players participate in individual skills during the morning session and focus on team games in the afternoon session.
Flag Football Camp
Flag Football Camp focuses on developing skills needed in football. Participants learn to pass, receive, run effective routes, defend, and understand play calls. Games take place throughout the camp.
Volleyball Camp
Volleyball Camp focuses on developing skills needed in volleyball. Participants learn
Bumping, Setting, Spiking and Rotations/ Positioning. Games take place throughout the camp.
Cost
Full Week
- Members $100.00 ($20 per day)
- Program Member $125.00 ($25 per day)
Partial weeks available in two-day, three-day and four-day packages.

- $25.00 non-refundable deposit per camp is due at registration
- Balance due one week prior to camp
