American Red Cross Lifeguard Class
Become certified in Lifesaving, First Aid, CPR, AED, & PDT. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and must pass a prerequisite swim test before being accepted into the class.
Classes meet once per week for four weeks. All classes meet on Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
Session Dates:
Feb. 12th - March 4th
March 11th - April 1st (registration deadline is March 11)
April 8th - April 29th (registration deadline is April 8)

Y Aquatics programs offer children and adults the opportunity to experience the many wonders of water.
- Y Swim Lessons focus on teaching participants the lifelong benefits of swimming through the main program component of stroke development, personal safety, personal growth, rescue and water games
- Water fitness programs focus on the enhancement of physical fitness through movements that increase strength and endurance without putting stress or strain on the joints.

Participation in Y Aquatics programs offers an unparalleled sense of well-being and a relaxing environment for safe exercise, physical therapy, and play.
Swim Lessons
Group Lessons
- Infant (6 mos.- 3 yrs. with parent)
Water orientation class that provides activities that prepare a child to move well, improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and self-confidence in the water.
Shrimp: 6-8 months
Perch: 19-36 months
- Preschool (Ages 3-5 yrs.)
This program safely introduce younger children to the water. Each level builds upon the preceding skill level to introduce the basic movements of swimming.
Pike: Beginner I
Eel: Beginner II
Ray: Advanced Beginner I
Starfish: Advanced Beginner II
- School Age (6-12 yrs.)
This program comprises five main components: personal growth, personal safety, stroke development, water sports and games, and rescue. Each skill level builds upon the preceding skill level covering all of the fundamentals.
Polliwog: Introductory Level (ages 6-9)
Guppy: Beginning Skill Level (ages 6-9)
Minnow: Intermediate Skill Level (ages 6-9)
Fish: Swimmer Level (ages 6-12)
Shark: Beginning Swim Team Level (ages 6-12)
- Teen/Adult (13+ yrs.)
Non-swimmers are taught basic swimming skills and water safety.
Private Lessons
Participants interested
in one-on-one or two-on-one instruction can purchase private or semi-private swim lessons. Private and semi-private swim lessons are sold in packages of five lessons.
Costs:
Private Lessons (5-pack): $80 for facility members, $120 for program members.
Semi-private lessons (5-pack): $54 for facility members, $83 for program members.
Note: cost for semi-private lessons is PER PARTICIPANT.
