Y Adventure Programs
The YMCA's Adventure Guides and Princesses program is a parent-child program designed to help foster a lifetime of understanding and companionship and to strengthen the relationship between children and parents.
As “Y Guides” and “Y Explorers,” parents and kids explore adventures in fun, learning and mutual understanding.
More about the program
YMCA Adventure Guides/Princesses is for parents or other significant adults in children’s lives and their children, ages 5 through 9. An adult and child attend all the program activities together.
The program relies heavily on the dedicated work of parent volunteers to make this one of the YMCA’s strongest leadership and volunteer development programs.
Currently, about 2,100 adults and children in the Greater Cleveland area are involved in the program, which is offered at the West Park, Ridgewood, Southeast, Lakewood, West Shore, Hillcrest and Geauga YMCAs.
