It's important to stay properly hydrated throughout the day to avoid risks such as heat exhaustion, dehydration, and heart failure. Water also helps regulate your body temperature so if you're going in and out of the heat and air conditioning, make sure you've got a bottle in tow and refill it often. Same especially goes for those of you who work outside all day.
Be sure you are drinking enough water, and the loved ones in your life are, too. Avoid caffeinated beverages like coffee and soda, which can dehydrate you even more.
If you don't like plain old water, try adding cucumber slices, lemon wedges, or even strawberries to naturally enhance the flavor of your water.
So, how much water should you be drinking one days like these? Here's a fun infographic from the Katy Emergency Center in Texas (where they know heat!)
